Burning onto the possum skins using the pyrography tool, brings me back to when I was working on country maintaining the land with fire.

This technique is known as ‘back burning’. Maintaining sustainable ecosystems prevents wild fires, is safe for animals, and prioritises the environment.

This method was constantly achieved by Indigenous Australians, and many first nations people all over the world. Perfectly aligning the time and weather to safely sustain the earths natural resources with fire.
