Gabala Garment is my series of fashion pieces, showcasing possum fur into fashion wear.

Gabala is the Yugara word for possum.

Possums are native animals of Australia.
The skin and fur of a possum were worn as clothing for warmth, worn in traditional ceremonies and were also used as baby carriers.

Traditional ceremonies include dance festivals, coming of age, marriages and farewells.
