GABALA GARMENT

Gabala Garment is my series of fashion pieces, showcasing possum fur into fashion wear.
Gabala is the Yugara word for possum. Yugara is the Indigenous Australian tribe name and/or land name for Brisbane and surrounding areas.
Possums are native to Australia and, are home to the South East Queensland region. Capalaba, a suburb of Brisbane, is ‘Place of Possum’.
