Create your very own manikin / doll, whether that may be Indigenous Australian inspired, a miniature of yourself or your own cultural background using the materials provided. On arrival you will receive a welcome pack. The packs include a 30cm wooden manikin, emu feathers and possum fur.

About the event
Manikin Making Workshop by Lakota Moon
The Manikin Making Workshop by Lakota Moon highlights the importance of representation in society of Indigenous Australian culture.
To go back in time and see an Indigenous inspired doll on the store shelves and on the television, that embraced my culture, would have empowered my self esteem at a much younger age. As well as the significance of being Indigenous.
I have created the Manikin Making Workshop for all ages, genders and cultural backgrounds to create their very own manikin / doll to design to each personal preference.
The outcome of the workshop is for young children to embrace themselves through the design of their manikin / doll, also for adults to get creative.
