Design your very own manikin or doll. On arrival you will receive a welcome pack. The packs include a 30cm wooden manikin, emu feathers and possum fur. Paint and other materials are also provided.

About the event
Manikin Making Workshop
The Manikin Making Workshop highlights the importance of representation in society.
To go back to when I was younger and to see an Indigenous Australian inspired doll on the store shelves or on the television.
A doll that embraced my cultural background would have empowered my understanding of the significance of connection to country and connection to culture at a much younger age.
Seeing a positive representation of what it means to be Indigenous boosts confidence, strength and pride for culture and also ourselves.
I have created the Manikin Making Workshop open for all ages, genders and cultural backgrounds to participate.
